Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their abilities and whatever they use to browse.
The standard
This website is built and tested to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most governments and large organisations hold their own sites to.
What we have done
- Every word is real text in the page, so screen readers, translation tools and browsers without JavaScript all get the whole site. The moving scenes are decoration: what they show is also said in words.
- The keyboard reaches everything. A skip link jumps past the navigation, every control shows a clear focus ring, the menu holds the keyboard while it is open, and Escape closes anything that opens.
- Motion is yours to control. If your device asks for reduced motion, the scenes stand still as plain lists. Display settings can pause everything that moves on its own, and the scenes only move when you scroll.
- Text meets a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, and large text 3 to 1. Choose a light or dark theme, or let the site follow your device.
- Pages reflow to a width of 320 CSS pixels, the same as zooming to 400 percent on a laptop, with no sideways scrolling.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap, and the page is marked as English (India), so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
How we test
- Before every release, axe-core checks each page against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, in Safari's and Chrome's engines, on a desktop and a phone, in both themes. A release does not go out with an error.
- We work through the menu, the display settings and the project brief with the keyboard alone, and check every page at 320 pixels wide.
Where it still falls short
- Automated checks find many problems but not all of them, and this site has not yet been audited by an outside accessibility specialist.
- The long scroll-driven scenes can feel slow with a screen magnifier. The menu and the rail of dots at the right edge jump straight to any section.
- Sending the project brief opens WhatsApp or your email app, whose accessibility is outside our control. You can always write to us directly instead.
